The three passenger terminals are Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 2 Satellite. Terminal 2 Satellite can only be reached from Terminal 2. It’s possible to walk from one terminal to the other. Getting from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 takes approximately ten minutes.

We picked up the vehicle in Munich and explored Germany's beautiful cities, like Rothenburg and Dresden, then out final destination was Berlin where we returned the car. Along the way we saw 3 castles - Neuschwanstein Castle, Lichenstein, and Stolpen. We also explored and hiked the Bastei Bridge in the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Renting the car was the best decision.

Great drive down to the Tirol, although there are many road works and queues on route. There is also always a slow down at the border (what happened to Schengen?), and note that the speed limit on the Austrian motorways is 100km/h.

We stayed in Oberding near Munich airport for a few days. I would recommend Il Casale Italian restaraunt there. Trip to Ulm, a beautiful city on Donau, was also very pleasant.

The drive was amazing and we had went to a lot of places in the small trails looking for great restaurants to eat, wonderful mountain trials to hike in. Lovely weather too during this period for such activities.

We drove from Munich to Attersee in the Salzkammergut region in Austria. You need to pay some €60-70 if you cross into another country and you also need to buy a vignette before crossing into Austria (you can stop at any gas station close to the border to buy one). We stayed at the 3-star Hotel Alpenblick in Attersee and only have praise for Johannes and Heidi who own and run the hotel. Very friendly, clean, good food and wine, lovely views and comfortable rooms. We visited Hallstatt and did the salt mine tour and viewing platform there, as well as the treetop walk at Gmunden (Baumwipfelpfad, recommend it). We toured the Eagle's Nest in Berchtesgaden and the Wimbachlamm Gorge (a must!) and drove on the Rossfeld Panoramic Road. The Kaiser's summer residence in Bad Ischl is also worth visiting.
